Ladies I want you to "Clutch" it!

I am all about the perfect clutch! Anyone can carry a handbag. I think it takes a real fashion forward gal to mix it up as much as she wants with that perfect little or not so little statement. It can be changed daily. And why not? There are so many to choose from. At every price point. I suggest you start collecting them. Daytime to evening. Have them all. I can think of no better way to take an outfit from ok to Are You Kidding Me!!! New, old, vintage, designer. This is an easy way to take your outfit from nice to we are all talking about it! I love to watch old movies where every time the star enters she has a new clutch to finish and polish her look. One word Sophisticated. Take your outfit to the next level. If this is not clear. Clutch it up all day long. And then clutch it up in the evening too. They have them for morning, noon, and night. Have fun! They don't have to match your shoes. Your clutch can be as unique as you. Also a great way to work color, trend and texture into your look.  xx

Tailor Made!

It's all about the fit. How to get the most out of your clothing. Very few people get a perfect fit right off the rack. If you are one of the blessed ones, I hope you are getting paid for it. It you're not a fit model here's what to do. Know your size. I work with so many people that are simply wearing the wrong size. Sizes haves changed over the last 30 years. What use to be an 8 or 10 is now a 4 or 6. Let's face it women like smaller numbers when it comes to a dress size. My stylish mother Carolyn for years was a size 8. Then they took that 8 and made it a 4. What happened? My mother was buying the wrong size. Even though she was now a size 4 she thought once and 8 always an 8. Because her weight never changed. I know, we hate her. It was hard for her to shake that old number 8. It took a little work and convincing but I did it!

A good tailor can be your best friend. You know your size. You tried it on and looked in the mirror from every angle. But you still need a little tweaking. Do it. Spend the money and make it fit right all over. We all have our favorite suit, dress, blazer, pant or skirt. And why do we love it so much? Because it fits us PERFECT!!!

If you are in LA Crown Cleaners does a great job. And they don't break the bank. I had 8 blazer's I was not wearing because I did not like the fit. I Took them to Crown Cleaners on Fairfax and I can't wait to wear them!

Who Has Good Jeans?

We all have our favorite pair. But it's not always easy finding them. When we do, we live in them. Now a days jeans come in every shape, color and style. For me the fit is key. We all look at our butt first. If that is working we're off to a good start. Then there's the rise. Low, super low, high, too high and somewhere just right. Truly find what is right for you. You don't want it too low. When you sit and you can see 3 inches of crack, to quote Miss Houston that's "wack". Please don't do the mom jeans. No pant should have a 9 inch zipper. Have fun with different shapes and styles. It took me a few years but I finally got on board with skinny jeans. I didn't like the way they looked on people. Saggy in the butt. Worn too low. Too skinny in the leg making the body look deformed. Get them with a little stretch and they with hug you in all your good parts. I love my Levi 511's. I have them in black, white, and grey. Amazing fit and great price. Just around $54.00. You always need a dark blue on hand. Girbaud sent me a pair that I just love! They have a little stretch in them and the fit is perfect. If you are old enough to remember Girboud's from the 80's, guess what their back. Minus the acid wash.
If you have an hour glass figure a wide leg can elongate your leg. And narrow you hip. Have fun with color but keep the embellishments simple. Stay away from pig pockets and studs. That will only add bulk and weight to places you don't want. And will be out dated much faster. Keeping it simple and classic is much better. And when you find a pair that fits you like a glove buy more then one pair! One more thing. Try things on. And force yourself to look in the mirror. See if you can sit and move normally . Before you buy.

What's hot for fall! Fashion

It's all about color. So have fun! Jewel tones. Tomato red, mustard, and pale pink. Here's how to do it. For the more daring gal's find a tomato red coat and bundle up. A mustard dress will be show stopping. And pale pink is not just for spring anymore. How about a pale pink blouse with a chocolate trouser? Finish the look off with a crock belt some gold bangles and a heel of your choice. I like at least 5 inches. Well, at least for evening.
If you are afraid of going so bold with this color trend no problem. Use the season's colors in your accessories. A jewel toned clutch. Tomato red shoes. Mustard scarf. You get the picture.
You can still rock your grey's, brown's, and camel's. But spice them up with this fall's hottest trend. Color!

Think lace is for old ladies and tablecloths? Think again. Lace in every color and weight is here. You can go all the way with a lace fitted sheath dress. Or if you feel a little lace goes a long way. Try a lace pump or clutch. It truly is a beautiful and timeless look for any age.

Feeling Blue? Do! Fashion

A rich cobalt blue or more muted tone works for all occasions. Fancy holiday party or night at the opera? Try a rich cobalt blue full length dress. I'm not "gowning" around. Keep it tone on tone. Shoes, bag, gloves if necessary. A gold cuff and you are ready for one show stopping evening.
Want to this bold move for work or lunch with the ladies? Your friends will be blue with envy when you show up wearing a cobalt blue trouser with a saffron blouse. Gold accessories. Thin crock belt with matching shoe. Why not?
